I have been offline for the past month or so. I went through an extremely shocking and painful breakup and felt the need to shut down and pull inward, licking my wounds within a self-imposed hibernation. When we are at our lowest, that is when we need to care for ourselves the most. I have sought comfort buried under multiple layers of blankets, snuggling with my feline fur babies, watching hours upon hours of mindless sitcoms, and re-embracing my love for expensive candles and gourmet teas. Sometimes it really is the little touches that can make us feel nurtured and get us through the moments and through the days.
Now that we have passed the longest night of the year with the passing of Yule, I look forward both literally and figuratively to brighter days ahead. I welcome the return of the sun, the return of the light both within and without. Blessed Be!
What a healthy approach - recognizing the need to hibernate and regroup for a bit. Welcome back to the world, and the sunshine.
